Two funny stories about this drama before I go into the review: 1) I started writing this review about a month ago when I finished the drama, but got busy and so put writing it off; 2) I started watching this the year it came out, 2013. Just a few months after it stopped airing. In June or July, I think. But then I packed up and moved out to my college dorm, met amazing people, made friends with my Korean roommates, and completely forgot about this drama because I was so busy between studying, classes, and a social life. One word: Oops.

I really wish I hadn't dropped is drama, though, and had just finished it instead. Just pushed through it or something. One, because this drama was amazing—two, because I'm extremely stubborn and once I start something, I need to finish it and I can't watch another drama at the same time (I'm a one drama/anime at a time kind of person). Putting this drama off for so long ultimately kept me out of the loop and I've missed out on a lot of other amazing dramas...

At the same time, I don't regret putting this drama off or being so stubborn that I had to finish it, either, because it was a great watch. I definitely recommend it! Overall, I give it a rating of 4.5 stars. on MyDramaList, I give it an 8 out of 10 on a scale a little larger than that for a bit of a visual for you all.

This drama's plot line is really, really great. There are an exceptional amount of plot twists throughout, and there are also many predictable things. But the balance doesn't make the predictability dislikeable, in my opinion. It just creates a nice balance. Many moments keep the viewer on the edge of their seat and I really enjoyed every gripping moment there was to offer.

On a smaller scale, this drama touches on depression and topics of the like, another being self-worth. I thought it was really deep, though in a very Korean-drama like stereotype the way it was handled may not have been the most astounding thing ever. It was also extremely interesting to have a blind main character. It was different, something I'd never seen before, and so it made the entire storyline unique and enjoyable.

There was a lot of character development throughout, and I really liked it. I'm a huge fan of character development in every form. So when I saw Soo, Hee Sun, Jinsung, and Moo Chul growing throughout the series I was very, very happy. Although Moo Chul's character growth came very, very later on in the series (it still made me happy). Soo's came first, Hee Sun and Jinsung's came in the middle. It was nice to just see them all grow, especially since almost all of these characters all have dark pasts that intertwine. There were a lot of other characters that grew, too, and a lot of them had my hatred throughout the entire series, until the end where they tugged at my heartstrings.

One of the main characters, Young, had some questionable development. There were moments I liked her. There were moments I hated her. There were moments I thought she was being a spoiled brat. I tried to let a lot of it go due to her being blind, maybe it was a handicap. I mean, it definitely has had a huge negative impact on her life. But still, there were actions and things said that were not okay.

Overall, it was a unique story line with a blind main character and a man impersonating another man of the same name. If that's not enough to drag you in, then maybe if you know there's a ton of plot twists and turns, and a lot of moments where you'll sit on the edge of your seat or grip the chair from the intensity happens. This drama maybe isn't one I'd recommend right away, due to the fact that it is a melodrama and it felt a little slow at times, or maybe just too emotionally involved...but it was still amazing. I would recommend it, if the person is interested in this sort of drama.
